About Me
Marise A. Redmann
LPC-IT, and Licensed Massage Therapist
Counseling offers you a safe and confidential space to discuss your thoughts, feelings, and concerns. It's a place where you can open up about issues that may be too challenging to share with family and friends. It's an opportunity to explore your inner self, find solutions, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
It is my goal to listen to your unique story and appreciate where you are and offer to share tools for your personal empowerment.
In my counseling practice, I support middle and high school students and adult individuals through challenges such as grief, life direction, family communication, neurodivergence, body discomfort and general anxiety.
Some therapeutic techniques include Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and somatic and movement techniques. I also incorporate play, art, and could include for adult clients, with informed consent, body-based healing modalities such as massage and aromatherapy to your treatment plan.
In-home and telehealth services are available for those with mobility issues.

I do not take insurance. However, I provide resources to help clients possibly get reimbursed by their insurance companies. If the cost of care is a barrier to you, please contact me.
Where are you located?
Fish Creek, Door County, WI
Sessions are held in my home in a private, well-lit loft. Access to our creative studio in our barn is also provided through counseling by request.
Are you fully licensed?
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-In Training (LPC-IT) under supervision by Jacqueline Lindo, LPC, MS, ATR, SEP. I graduated with my masters in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2025.
How do I know you're a good fit for me?
If you have questions or want to introduce yourself, we will set up a 15-minute call free of charge to discuss your goals, availability, and treatment plans. You can briefly explain who you are and what brings you here, what questions you have (i.e. an initial consult or a question about fees or insurance), when you're available, and how best to reach you (phone, text, or email.)
How often will we meet, and for how long?
Sessions for adults and teens are 60 minutes long each. I accommodate your schedule, so you determine how frequently you want to meet. Sessions end when we have met your treatment goals, or you conclude that you no longer need counseling, or due to any other interruptions such as moving or changing treatment.

Types of Therapies
What does it all mean?
Narrative Therapy
Narrative therapy is a collaborative, strengths-based approach that helps people explore and reshape the stories they tell about their lives, emphasizing that problems are separate from the person. It encourages individuals to identify alternative narratives that highlight resilience, values, and preferred ways of being.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy that helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings rather than trying to eliminate them, while committing to actions aligned with their personal values. Its core aim is to increase psychological flexibility so individuals can live more meaningfully, even in the presence of challenges.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured form of psychotherapy that helps people identify and change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior. It focuses on building practical coping strategies to manage problems like anxiety, depression, and stress.
Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT)
Solution-focused therapy (SFT) emphasizes finding solutions to current problems rather than dwelling on past issues. It is a goal-oriented approach that encourages clients to focus on their strengths and envision a future where their problems are resolved.
Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
Mindfulness therapy helps people focus on the present moment with openness and non-judgment, often through practices like meditation, breathing, and body awareness. It aims to reduce stress, break cycles of negative thinking, and increase self-compassion. By cultivating awareness of thoughts and feelings without reacting impulsively, individuals can respond more calmly and effectively to life’s challenges.
Somatic Therapy
Somatic therapy focuses on the body's role in emotional experiences and not just the mind. The focus is on relieving tension by being aware of bodily sensations and physical experiences as part of the healing process.
